I find your info very intersting because my wife's grandmother(Digby) on her mother's side told us recently that her greatgrandmother was an Amirault from Plymton, Digby county. I had just finished some research on the Amiraults of Yarmouth county and found that when
Jacques 1st Amirault and family returned from exile to Massachusetts, one of his son, Basile Amirault and his sister Anastasie settled in the Plymton area, Digby county.
My ancestor, Jacques II d'Entremont had married Marguerite Amirault, Basile Amirault sister and lived in the Barrington area prior to being deported to Mass. in 1756.
The d'Entremonts and the Amiraults returned from exile together in 1766.
Would anyone know who Basile's children would be and who was his wife. My wife's grandmother is Leila Tidd and Leila's mother's maiden name was Bunker. The Amirault would have been Leila grandmother. I would appreciate any help. Thank you
I am the historian at Le Village historique acadien (Acadan village) in Pubnico Yarmouth County and in return will help anyone with Acadian history.
