Thanks for your note. No, I'm still stuck. I can't find anything conclusive regarding Catherine's origins. I've heard that she might have had family from Pennsylvania, but have no real leads regarding that. As for her family's country of 'origin', haven't got a clue to that either. Despite having her marriage date (her certificate says nothing about her parents) and her death date, and the fact that she might have had a SSN, I've not been able to locate death records for her, although she was apparently buried in the Washington, D.C. area. Even having broadened the search to all "Meros" hasn't turned up much. That doesn't seem to have been the most popular variation of the name. <g> If I ever find a Nova Scotia connection, I'll let you know. And if you ever run across mention of Washington DC Meros, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
