François Amiraut dit Tourangeau, born in Tours about 1644, arrived in Port Royal in summer 1671, on board of "l'Oranger", coming from La Rochelle. Being a widower he got married at Port-Royal with Marie Pitre, daughter of Jean Pitre and Marie Pesseley (Paisley). They had ten children: Marie (1684), Joseph (1689), Anne (1691), François (1692), Jeanne (1694), Madeleine (1697), Pierre (1699), Charles (1700), Jacques (1702), Marguerite (1704). He settled with his family on the seigneury of Pobomcoup toward 1700 and he was still alive in 1725.
