Usualy, if any are available, sisters and brothers of the parents and their spouses are the first choices for godparents. Grandparents are next, then it can be any one. So Fred and Lilly Amirault might well be uncle and aunt of the child. Sometimes the baptism record states the relationship of the godparents to the child.
