My mother is the one who started on the research on my grandmother who was born in Sedalia Missouri, she was Sophronia Ragene Amick and her father was Finis Franceway Amick. He brought them to miami county,Paola, Kansas and left them behind as he went to Oregon to work on the railroad. Im not surprized that his father may not be Maranda,Miranda? I do have his SS# someplace to send off about him. I noticed that he had remarried in Oregon. We just do not have much on this man yet. Many thanks for your response!!
