This is a response to my own posting earlier. Just found out that my direct ancestor, Peninah Amerson was born in 1944. Her husband was Jacob Farmer. Her father was Willie Amerson, born in 1819. Willie Amerson's father was Edward Amerson, who was born 1793 and died 1824. Don't know the location of his birth and death. Willie Amerson's mother was Elizabeth Farmer, (born 1794 and died 1867) who is daughter of Wm. Benjamin Farmer and Elizabeth, who are my own direct Farmer ancestors; therefore, meaning that Jacob Farmer and his sister, Elizabeth Farmer (born 1798) are both my direct ancestors. I am not sure of Peninah Amerson's mother, but think it is Martha Barnes. I would like to verify. I also would like location, but assume it's Wilson or Edgecombe Counties in North Carolina. I want to thank Sandy Nigh and Willie Mae Cheek for their assistance, as well as Billy Farmer in helping me do my research. I also thank Allen Powell Dew for tremendous task that he did on the Dews, Farmers, Bryants, Sherrods, as well as Amerson genealogies. Wilson County Genealogical Society and the Wilson County Library has the information on the Amersons in North Carolina. Thank you. Susie Labry,
