Hi Melissa! I live in England, and it's my husband's granddad who came from Nova Scotia. He's dead now though, and sadly I never met him.
His family came from the Plympton/ Plympton Station area of Digby County, NS. His mum was Eva Amero, her parents (John )Frederick Amero and Abby Saulnier, Frederick's parents Joseph Amero and Mary Barnes, Joseph's father was Francois Hilarion Amero.
If it's Plympton Ameros I might be able to help you. I have some info and some contacts for folk around there. They are the loveliest people :o) If it's US Ameros you want, Andrea Donovan on this site might be a good bet to try. Let me know if you think I can help you, without knowing your family names I can't be more specific. But if you tell me who you're looking for, I'll definitely try to help if I can.
Sue :o)
