NY Continental Line/Grogan
Could SomeKindSoul please possibly look up information regarding the following soldier:
Grogen, John or John Grogan, BLW7151-100-10 July 1790 assignee C.C.
Elmendorph. Served as a Pvt. NY Line
Film # M805#380
Another mention of John in the Saratoga Battlefield Historical collection:
GROGAN, John*NY
Private, 2nd regt., NY Continental Line.
*Ref. OB01 doesn't state at battle but was member of regiment that did participate
Ref:
OB01 - O'Brien, Michael J., "Irish Settlers in America;" Baltimore
Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc.; 1979
This was the 2nd Regiment of the New York Continental line.
I do not have access to the book or the microfilm, which I believe is a NARA
item. (I live on a little island with no archives)
If anyone has access to this information I'd really appreciate a lookup.
Thank you very much,
Eve Grogan
