Irby and Lockhart's Rev. War services
I also would like to know the war drcords of William C. Irby and Samuel Lockhart.
William Irby lived in VA, Probably Halifax,CO, when he joined the militia. He also fought at Brandy wine. When he went home his family had moved to the area of Newberry,SC.In 1781,his father,Joseph Irby was killed in the Hayes Station Massacre.
Samuel Lockhart was orobaly from Northhampton Co, NC He also fought in the Rev. War. His son, Thomas, moved to Laurens Co, SC and married Mary McGowan.Their daughter,Elizabeth lockhart married Samuel Irby, son of William Irby. I don't know if any pensions were applied for or not.
Thank you for any information.
