William Fleetwood II (updated)
Does anyone have any information on a man named William Fleetwood II, son of William Fleetwood I? I have some updated information on them since I last posted here and have copies of both their wills. William Fleetwood II owned land in Buckleberry Pocosin (Swamp) near Windsor in Bertie County, North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Ashley on October 5, 1763 and died in 1799. I am trying to find out if he was a Loyalist or Patriot during the American Revolution. In several sources I have checked, he isn't listed as being a Loyalist or a rebel soldier. His name isn't listed at all. If you have any info., please e-mail me at [email protected].
Thanks,
Kris Fleetwood
