J a huge thank you for all your help. I am trying to prove what is the relationship between these Best. Am also working on a hypothsis that they are related to Robert and Eunice Clark Bassett, but nothing conclusive. I am wondering did you check for Pension records? Interesting if they were in the crawford battle. As sometime before 1859 my Best had moved to Cadiz Ohio so of course would have had prior knowlege about Ohio.
