Prisoner Lists for Fort Stanwicks in New York
Posted by: Elaine O'Neill (ID *****4092) Date: April 10, 2013 at 00:01:46

I have found a Canadian ancestor who, in his request for a Crown Land Grant in 1802 for his "service to King and Country in the recent war with America" claims to have been captured by the Americans and held prisoner at Fort Stanwicks on the Mohawk River. I have found some information on the Fort but need to know if there are there any prisoner lists that can be checked.
