Oh my gosh! Thank you so much. I knew someone out there would know where to read about different battles. If we find this is my 4th great grandfather, which we suspect it was, then he most assuredly was at that battle where his side won. I just realized how long it would have taken for these NY Volunteers to get from Troy NY to this location in SC which is almost 900 miles away using today's road. On a horse this would have been about 45 days just one way. Incredible! Lots of very interesting reading here. Thank you so much!
