You can order pension record S31572 at a family history center near you. These are the Mormons. They are listed in phone book as The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. Call for hours of operation. Will take about 2 weeks to get microfilm of pension that you can copy. Cost is just a few dollars. Cheaper than NARA. While there, look for wills, census, bible records, etc.

According to DAR's Members' Only site, his spouse was Sallie/Sarah Smith and children through whom women joined the DAR are:
Thomas, married Margaret Thompson Storey.
Alred, married Elizabeth C. Hay.
Rachael, married Macajah Mayo.

Middleton had 10 or more children. He is buried at the Brooks-Storey Family Cemetery, Pendergrass, Georgia.

Don't know if this email is still current, but contact
spiritsouth@gmail.com for further info on Middleton.
