The first thing to do, always, is to do a google search..in this case I used "middleton Brooks" +ga +Revolutionary war, and found this;
http://genforum.genealogy.com/brooks/messages/9434.html It contained the following info;
"Middleton Brooks was born in Caroline County, Virginia, lived in Halifax County, Virginia at the time of his enlistment, and moved to Wilkes County, Georgia in 1786 (Virgil D. White, Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files, Volume I:A-E, Waynesboro, TN: National Historical Publishing Co., 1990). This tells you exactly where to look.
I also found this. So, you know that he had a RW pension...contact the NARA and request a copy of his service records....he also got a pension, as indicated below;

Name of pensioner: Middleton Brooks
County of residence: Jackson
Previous counties of residence: Oglethorpe
Military service: Private
Pension act: 1832
Provisions of pension: $27/year beginning 4 March 1831
Dates of final payment: 4 March-4 September 1838
Final payment amount: $10
Date paid: 20 September 1848
Miscellaneous information: Attorney William Morel
Name of pensioner: Middleton Brooks
County of residence: Jackson

Have you looked through all this: the Brooks family query exchange;

there are lots of other 'hits' that look interesting...so surf, and have fun.
