Have you ever looked to see if anyone has joined the DAR with James as their vet? Her paperwork would, hopefully, include what she used as her proof of service. The blue DAR indices at most libraries will give you the listing of vets, and if he appears, order a copy of her filled out form...you won't get copies of her submitted documentation...just the form that tells WHAT was submitted...that should be enough info to send you where you need to go for your proof.
