CURRENT RIGID METHODOLOGY RENDERS DAR IMMUNE TO LOGIC
DAR REFUTES THE IRREFUTABLE - LEAVING REV. WAR SOLDIERS IN LIMBO FOREVER

DAR refutes irrefutable service records for Rev. War soldiers, like Reuben Bates,
because DAR cannot identify their Officers, which leaves the soldier in LIMBO forever.

A PETITION TO RIGHT A WRONG

ASSIGNMENT OF SERVICE RECORD - A MATTER OF LOGIC
There were only four Bates named Reuben in the entire state of VA during 1775-1783.

DAR ACKNOWLEDGED TWO CANDIDATES
they knew of two Bates named Reuben during the period, namely:Reuben Bates, Senior of Louisa Co., and Reuben Bates of Loudoun Co. ("potential father" of Junior per DAR).

TWO CAN BE RULED-OUT
That leaves only two other Bates name Reuben to account for. The other two Bates named Reuben were both too young to serve in the Rev. War, namely

Reuben Bates, (c1768-1814) of Culpeper Co. wife Anna Roebuck)
Reuben Bates,Junior (1771-1853) of Louisa Co. (wife Nancy Edmunds)
QUOTING DAR WEB SITE
"Service probably belongs to this man's (cited above) father."

THE DECIDING FACTOR
Which Reuben Bates had neighbor named Duval that picked up his soldiers pay?

THE ANSWER -
Page 94 War Vol. 4 - SERVICE RECORD
Rueben Bates - Soldier of Infantry - paid by Mr. Duval on March 4, 1783 - 36.0.0

Tax List sent to DAR - Mr. Duval only Duval in Louisa Co. in year 1783.

QUOTING DAR MESSAGE TO WAYNE WITT BATES
....."we just don't have enough information to assign this service to your
Reuben Bates at this time."

IRREFUTABLE FACTS
Submit that DAR now has enough information to assign the above Service Record to Reuben Bates, Senior (1731-1800) of Louisa Co., VA.

Reuben Bates Sr. should receive the long delayed honor that he so richly deserves.
