seeking Pedigree of Jacob SILLIKER NY to PEI 1784
Posted by: Carol Shiels (ID *****0778) Date: December 10, 2010 at 11:30:47
  of 18096

I have Silliker in my family tree, as one of my aunts married Jacob Wilson Silliker in Massachusetts.
My cousin has been able to trace his lineage back to Jacob & Mary (Strang) Silliker, Loyalist member of the Port Roseway Associates.

Do you have or know of anyone who has been able to prove his pedigree prior to his arrival in Canada?

There is a lot of questionable conjecture at the PEI Island Register and on the internet in general.

It is thought that he is descended from the HILLIKER family of New York, but we have not seen any proof of that linkage.
