In what respect are you using 'minuteman'? The term has been around for a long time, and was used, I seem to remember, in the mid 1600s, in the Mass. Bay Colony...there were also other Mass. towns that designated a portion of their militia as "minutemen"....these men underwent some specialized training and had to be ready to turn out immediately in case of emergencies...they had to be under 30 and possess physical strength,and other requirements. As you give no dates, I can't tell if you're speaking of these the above minutemen, or if you thought that the minutemen were only at Lexington and Concord...... more information from you is needed.
