Please bear in mind that all heretitary societies have discovered they have errors in the previously approved lineages. I agree you should call the headquarters and ask about the status of your application.
When I joined DAR I found that my grandfather's first cousin had numerous approved papers at DAR. They had errors and omissions but the ultimate lines were correct. I re-proved and submitted the papers in order to correct the records. There was much more information available to me in the 1980s than there was in the 1940s.
