Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

No one with a similar name is indexed as appearing on rolls of the Continental troops (and limited rosters of associated militia and State units from particular campaigns), US National Archives Micropublication 246 "Revolutionary War Rolls" on ancestry.com. You can search in the compiled service records (cards extracted from the original rolls by the War Dept.) on www.footnote.com without subscribing -- they do offer free trials and short-term subscriptions.

You can also try borrowing microfilm through inter-library loan, from the above Micropublication, roll 129 (Canadian volunteers 1775) and roll 131 (Hazen's Regiment, 1778-1779) and search yourself -- faulty indexing and transcripts are always possible. I do not know of other surviving record groups that may exist concerning Canadians specifically.
