Jacob Riegle Pa Rifle Regiment

Hi,

I'm tring to connect my uncle, Jacob Riegle, and a soldier with the same name.(Are they the same man?) The soldier was Jacob (G?) Riegle of the PA Rifle Regiment Capt. Henry Christ's Company. June 1, 1776.

My grandfather, Ludwig Schott was in the same regiment, also from Lancaster, Pa. So, its not a far fetched idea to examine this Jacob Reigle.

My uncle Jacob Riegle, was from Lancaster, Pa born May 11, 1749. He died May 1823 in Snyder Co. PA. He married Anna Catherine Haal.

Did any one use Jacob to enter the D.A.R?

I would appreciate any help to determine if the two Jacobs are one in the same.
