Thank you so much for your reply. I have been to Fort Mill, and the grave is most definitely there, and it says he served his country when it was needed. I am completely confused now! SC SAR has agreed to put a marker there due to some records they have. I have written my contacts there and they have not answered. I think you are right about the confusion - both Theodoricks are listed by a professional genealogist under "Webbs in the Military " as having been in Capt. Lide's troop. In the Webb DNA group there is another Theodorick from Virginia. The Theodorick at Fort Mill got a land grant due to his service, because 8 of his children signed it over to one who stayed in North Carolina - others named in this deed are buried there with him. thank you so much for your reply. This graveyard is most impressive, for anyone who can go there - it is about a block large, with stone walls around, and was at the site of the old church. It is called the Revolutionary graveyard because there are quite a few veterans of that war buried there. I have a list of them published by the church if anyone is interested.
