Thank YOu. I wish I could find more about his service. Its tough, because he didn't draw a pension, annd I only have his name for one muster roll. I did find a small hint. In the history of the regiment, it says 185 men enlisted for the war, while around 354 enlisted until January 1, 1778. My uncle, enlisted around March 1777, so it makes perfect sense. He married on July 9, 1780. Could he be one of the enlistees who mustered out a Valley Forge January 1, 1778? (Theres a small chanch the he was an long term enlistee, but seeing how his father didn't stay long, Ludwig Jr probably followed the path of his father. (Only serving for a year) There is another identical muster roll for this company, but no date.. so its difficult to say when or if there were two musters taken.
