A place to start is of course the correspondence of members of the Continental Congress.There are also surviving journals and diaries of notable women from this period.
Research on this topics would be done in libraries and archives, particularly the Library of Congress, rather than on these message boards.Set aside at least three years.It would be surprising if there had not already been at least several doctoral theses on this topic, which you may find mentioned in a web search via scholarly and univeristy-library search engines in addition to google.
