;My grandfather John William Amer born 1877 approx. in Sydenham or Lewisham, London. Wife Alice. possible sister Maud, whose son Victor was adopted by John Amer. they lived Champion road Sydenham, and also had a natural daughter Celia or Cecilia (cissie). Any news would be appreciated. It was thought an Italian birth certificate was found when he died although it seems his father also John, mother Celia (Cecilia) also came from Sydenham area. Mother's ;maiden name Wilson. Am interested as to whether there are any European connections in the past.
