I have received a bit more information from my mother and a correction:

My great-grandmother was Cassey Amburghy and her father was a plantation owner in Kentucky (Louisville, I believe). Cassey married Daniel Bellamy and my grandfather, Orbon Bellamy and several sisters, Ivy, Ida, Ada,.... were born of that union. Cassey died when her children were young and Daniel reared the seven(?) children. My grandfather died in Oklahoma in the early 1990s and very little is known about his Kentucky family history. Any information would be appreciated.
