Is there any connection to the name Umbarger, Umberger, Humberger, etc. I am stumped in my Umbarger/Umberger line and my grandmother who died a few years ago at the age of 104 said once that my great grandfather, Samuel Lee Umbarger was an Amburgey....Spelling varies though. I don't know if she was correct or guessing...but so far I've spent years looking for his parents with no luck. He was raised in Coffee / Warren County TN...lived with a person supposedly a relative named Barbary Umbargo (Umbarger)....any help on this name thing or anything else will be greatly appreciated !
