Gail, my grandpa Oscar died Feb. 1994 & was married to Opal(grndma). They were married for 49 years(He died 9 months before their 50th). So that would have made them married 1944. I know he was older than my grandma, He had 3 kids & a set of twin girls that died at birth. My uncle, the first born, his middle name is Gail. If you can give me your e-mail we might be able to explore this further. But I never heard of a wife before grandma or kids, but the world is a crazy place right.
