I am trying to trace my Ambler family back as far as I can. I don't have much information except that my (3) great grandmother, Jane Ambler Miller, was born on Nov. 9, 1833 in Guernsey County, Ohio. She died June 29, 1914 in Mulhall, Logan County, Oklahoma. From the 1880 census I know that her father, presumably an Ambler, was born in VA and her mother was born in OH. Does anyone have any information on who her father and/or mother were? Please let me know if you do.
Jane married Nelson Ambrose Miller in Fayette County, Ohio, on Oct. 2, 1859. They had 8 children, one of which, Louie Ellen is my (2) great grandmother. Nelson and Jane lived in Madison County, Ohio, then in Champaign County, IL, then in Texas then in Cheyenne, Barton County, Kansas, and finally in Mulhall, Logan County, Oklahoma.
