The Joseph Ambler that I mentioned was the original Ambler to settle in Pennsylvania around 1683. It is believed that he was born in 1660 in England. There were Joseph Amblers in the next three generation of the Pennsylvania Amblers. The second one was born in 1691, the third in 1725 and the fourth in 1780. There were other Joseph Amblers in this line, but I found none in the year you were asking about. If you are searching the Amblers in Pennsylvania, the book I mentioned is a "must" as it is very complete.
