HI Renee,
I don't know if it will help you but I have a great uncle Salvatore (Sam) Consolo. He was my grandfather's brother and the whole family is from S'Agata, Sicily. This Sam (and I know there are alot of Sam's in our family) was married to Concetta DiVito. They had two children Rose (CheChe) born in 1923 and Sam Kenneth Consolo born in 1931 in Cleveland.
Salvatore was born on Feb 3, 1897 to Carmelo and Rosa (Cortese) Consolo. He died on Feb 2, 1955 at age 57.
My grandfather had5 brothers:James Vincent, Domenic F, Salvatore, Joseph, Carmelo, he died in S'Agata and was married to Rosina Sberna (also from S'Agata.
My grandfather, Charles (Calogera) Consolo married Angelina Amata and her family is also from S'Agata.
There are many amata's in my family tree so see if that helps you.My grandmother Angelina had 9 or 10 in her family.Angelina, Peter, Joseph (died young), Angelo, Theresa, Joseph (2nd one named the same), Sam, Carlo, and Charles.Their parents were SAm Amata and Marie Antoinette Zapalla Amata. The son Sam died in 1915.
My great grandfather, Sam Amata died on March 16, 1961.
My aunt and I have been working on our family tree for awhile now.My family tree is on www.myheritage.com under my name Linda Consolo. You should be able to view it.You might find some match there to help you. I would think all of them being from S'Agata, they must be related. There still are relatives living there.I was told there was a fire which destroyed records in S'Agata, so we have not been able to find anything from there.Wish I could.
If you can't view my tree, send a request to join and view it.Our family all moved to Cleveland. My tree shows them all so have fun!
