Luisa,

I am researching my gggrandmother, Louisa Aman (it may have been Louisa Elizabeth or Elizabeth Louisa??) . I believe she was born in Cincinnati/ 3 July 1843. She was in the Illinois 1860 census, living in Quincey City, Adams Co. I believe this was either one or two years before she married Michael Loreth/Lorth/Lorett/Lorette. I don't know if their spelling or handwriting was the reason for the many last names...I do know that Michael was born in Bavaria. They finally settled in Braymer, Mo. and farmed there.
