Hello, I need help. I've recently started my family tree and can't find my grandfather Otto Alphons Amann born 1/8/1901 & died 8/19/1961 in Kenton County KY. He was married to Alberta Marie Ehlman. Relatives believe he was born in Cincinnati, Ohio because his family lived on Columbia Avenue and that his parents were Ferdinand Amann and Magdeline Amann (nee Ducrois) both from Alsace Lorain France. However, according to 1920 US Census for Cincinnati, Otto is listed as Ferdinand & Magdeline's grandson. His family, along with other Amann families, were members of St. Rose of Lima Parish in that area of Cincinnati. I've contacted them for help but was told that three of those families put a "hold, don't disclose" notice on their records and apparently Otto's was one of the three. So, I'm trying to find out who Otto's parents really were, if they had siblings and if Otto had siblings. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
