went to Momenenheim france last summer-outside Strasbourg---many Amann and Ammann family from this alsace area. My family was Nicholas joseph amann in the states-ammann in france-they emigrated from switzerland in the 15th century up the rhine to the alsace area. Nicholas came to us in 1850 and settled in New orleans,la. have lots on this family including those in france but i can not find the benedict connection withou more information
