I don't think there would be many 'Thomas Smith Alway's so, if your ancestor emigrated to Australia from England, I assume that we are related. I am descended from his sister, Diana Alway. You can find my information regarding our ancestors on my website at www.durlene.ca. Look for "Descendents of Robert Alway and Ann Rodway" to find Thomas and some of his descendents. My primary source for the Australia branch of the family has been Jenny Joyce whose current email address is shown with the source information. I'm sure she would be more than happy to share her information with you.
