Hi,

I have traced my line back to Robert Alway and Sarah Smith, who married in Tytherington on 25 Aug 1810. There is no Robert of suitable age baptised in Tytherington, but there were 2 poss. Sarah Smiths. Interested in any information taking this line back further, or any information on any descendants.

Robert and Sarah had the following children...

Sarah Alway - born 1815, died 15 Dec 1828
Thomas Smith Alway - 1816-1893. Married Elizabeth Amos in 1845 in Bristol and emigrated to Victoria
John Smith Alway - 1821-1880. Married Hannah Shepherd 6 Jul 1852 in England and emigrated to Victoria
Robert Alway - 1823-1894. Emigrated to Vic and married Mary Eliza Wilson in 1861
James George Alway - 1823-1909. Married Mary Ann Vizard. Most of his children emigrated to Victoria, as
did James eventually (date unknown)
Elizabeth Alway - 1828-? Emigrated to Victoria and married Richard Davies.
Adelaide Frances Alway - 1831-1919. Emigrated to Victoria and married Elias Ralph.

I have further information on the descendants of the above listed if anyone is interested.

Regards

Jenny Joyce
