I am looking for Daniel Alward who we believe was married to Mary Miller, whose mother was a Smith or Daniel's mother may have been a Smith. Smith Miller was born in NJ about 1846. He is in the 1860 IL Census in Peoria and was in the IL Vol in the Civil war. He married Nancy E. Ralston in IL. She is listed as a Civil War Pension roster. Their son, Benjamin Waldron Alward was my husband's grandfather. There were four daughters. We would like to connect Smith back to NJ.
