My relatives came to MO very early and it is difficult to find that many early records.Onewhere I found my relatives who migrated to St. Ferdinand (Flourissant) near St. Louis, was the 1908 book by Louis Houck. In the index from
A HISTORY OF MISSOURI, by Louis Houck, 1908, v. 2, p. 68:
"Francois and Michel Creliz from Kaskaskia (1787), no doubt relatives of Jean Baptiste Creliz."
"Francois and Michel Creliz from Kaskaskia (1787), no doubt relatives of Jean Baptiste Creliz."
same source, v. 1, p. 354:
"among other residents of the new village of Ste. Genevieve prior to the cession of Louisiana...Gabriel Aubouchon (1765) married a daughter of Jean Baptiste Crely."
"among other residents of the new village of Ste. Genevieve prior to the cession of Louisiana...Gabriel Aubouchon (1765) married a daughter of Jean Baptiste Crely."
same source, v. 2, p. 101:
"Therese Crely (1803) wife of Louis Honore dit Tesson claimed 3,500 arpens on the river Jeffron but lived at Florissant.."
"Therese Crely (1803) wife of Louis Honore dit Tesson claimed 3,500 arpens on the river Jeffron but lived at Florissant.."
same source, v 2, p. 11:
"...Praire de Village Sauvage (about a mile below St. Louis)...ten additional settlers...came to the new village...Louis Tesson, eit Honore (or Honore dei Tesson), a trader from Kaskaskia, was the father of Francois, Baptiste, Michael and Noel, all living at St. Ferdinand and elsewhere, a native of Canada, his wife was Magdalena Patterson , and evidently of English descent.Had a grant a Cul de Sac, and in 1796 received a grant of 1,600 arpents a Village a' Robert, also had property at Portage des Sioux and River Jeffron in St. Charles district, died in St. Louis in 1812..."

Lots of genealogical information can be found also in early deeds in St. Louis Co.There is an index by Collet to those handwritten deeds located in large books in the basement at St. Louis City Hall.Good luck in your search.
