One of Auguste and Bridgets children was Ferdinand A. Alvarez, who married Rosa Beaudoin. Ferdinand was born Mar 1839. He died about June 10 1929, or that is when the obit was published in the Los Angeles Times. I beleive Rosa died between 1880 and 1900, but I can find nothing on her yet. Her maiden name has so many version of spelling that also makes it difficult.
I have 5 children for Auguste:
Marie Melanie/Malinda-Josephine born May 1873 in MO. She was still alive in 1910
Joseph I. born June 1875 in California, Jos married Dec 12 1908 and must have died between 1910 and 1920.
Ferdinand b. 1876, I didn't find him after 1910
Jennie born Oct 1878 in California, married Richard Desmond in May 1906. Jennie was widow in 1910- no children.
Francis-augustus sometimes called Gus born jan 29 1880, died Feb 25 1952 Los Angeles.
In 1929 the father Ferdinand's death notice says he was the father of Gus Alvarez and Jennie Desmond Brown (so Jennie remarried) Ferd. lived at 944 Orange Grove Ave. LA California at time of his death.
If anyone knows anything of this family, I would like to know more about the family and the siblings of Gus, when they died etc. I am esp. interested in Ferd's wife Rosa. I don't know who her parents were, she was born in St. Louis also.
There are other 'cousins' who went todifferent area's California too. Some of the Creley/Creely family. Griffin James family and some other of the Alvarez'. Ferdinand's Brother Eugenio was out there also, but I can't find much info on him either. He died in 1893
If I could find which cemetery one of them is buried in, I would probably find most of them. I have a great deal of info on the James/Masterson/Kendrick families.
