To follow is my grandfathers obit.
I am looking for info on his mother and father. His mother was Barbara Alvarado: I believe her maiden name to be Vargas her birth place is listed on her death certificate as Uvalde TX but I sent for it and they dont have her born
there. I know she was born Dec 5 1877.
Her husband was Juan Alvarado I know they had
13 children together but that Juan was also
married before and had other children.
My grandfather Antonio B. Alvarado was
the last child born to Juan and Barbara on
06/13/1919 Im told Juan died when my grandfather was 5 or 6 so that would be around 1925 or 1926

born in Uvalde TX.

Alvarado, Anthony B.
Anthony B. Alvarado age 77 of Lodi, California,
formerly of Holly, Michigan, entered into eternal life on Tuesday,
Dec. 31 1996. Funeral servcices were held Monday, Jan 6,1997
at St. Rita's Catholic Church of Holly, Father Joseph Killeen
officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly, Rosary
was prayed on Sunday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, Veteran's
Memorial services were under the auspices of Hulet-Bravender Post #5587
V.F.W and Amel Schwartz Post #149 American Legion.
Mr. Alvarado was born in Uvalde, Texas on June 13, 1919
the son of Juan and Barbara (Vargas) Alvarado. He was a veteran of
WWII and was retired from General Motors in Pontaic. He was a member
of the VFW and the HOlly Moose Lodge and he helped organize the A
LOMA Club in Pontaic.
Surving are his wife, Josephine two sons, Anthony (Lynn)
Alvarado of Holly, John (Sue) Alvarado of Fenton, two daughters
Josephine (Felix) Sauceda of Lodi, California and Nina Alvarado
of Lodi, California: 11 grandchildren: seven great-grandchildren:
three sisters, Lola Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas. Petra Gonzalez
of Pontiac, MI and Feliz Alvarado of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Cruz Alvarado in
1988.
My Grandfather had told me many years ago that he was married before he married my Grandmother Josephine Alvarado. He talked often of his two children he had with his previous wife. I only know that her name was Maria Alvarado (do not know her maiden name) their sons were Antonio Alvarado and Ramon Alvarado born in Texas. I know that they were devorced in 1945 and would like to find out more about his son's. I have a couple photo's of them that my grandfather carried with him. Im sure they carry mixed feelings, do to these curcumstances. If anyone knows them or of them please relay my wishes to know more about them.
