Thank you so very much for your reply. I am anxious to see the old Altman homeplace. Has it been restored or can you tell?

I think that Alfred and Betty Altman are buried in the cemetery that you are speaking about. Is it back up in a field way off the road? You may not be able to recognize their names. I know that some of the tombstones were hard to read when I was there many years ago. Alfred's name may have been spelled Alford and Betty's stone had Elizabeth on it instead of Betty. A cousin of mine went to the cemetery not too long ago and she said she did not see Alfred's stone or did not recognize it; however, she did see Betty's (Elizabeth's).

Joel Altman's family is buried there. This Joel was Alfred's son and my mother's grandfather.

I wish I was able to see your pictures. Did you take them when you were by there recently?

Rebecca
