I have a Thomas / Lydia in GA that some think is the missing Thomas. Maybe DNA would prove it. This Thomas was not sisted in anything in NC that we can find. The only explination is that he left so early on that he was included in anything. But the other problem is that this Thomas did not name any of his children after is siblings in NC.

"In the note of "09 Jan. 1793 Thos Altman of Jo. Co. to Thomas Altman, son for good!Wrong!!!!! causes me thereunto leaving 1 tract on NS Bushes Creek,........" Signed: Thomas(S)Altman, do you know why the word "wrong" is inserted and what is meant by it? Is this a will? I did not think that he left a will."

Dorothy found this is a book but she said it is wrong. Because she does not think a Thomas was in the area. I can't remember why she said this was true. Hope you can find out. Maybe the wrong name was transcribed in the book. WE need to see the original.
Diane
