Hi All We have 3 matches in 3 different Altman groups from GA!! Group A, Group C, & Group D. 1 per group. We need more DNA test and markers to see if can see the subgroups. FTDNA is having a sale until Sept 30, ‘08. The more markers the easier to see the subgroups. In other words I may see which group my Thomas came from and how we all fit together. Y-DNA37 Reduced $189 $119 Y-DNA67 Reduced $269 $218 Go here to order your test. https://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.aspx?code=R61257&special=True Go here to see MR Aultman Group C 67 markers. The other 2 are not at this site. I have them if you would like to see them http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/altman/results The Haplogroup indicates we may be from the Viking area, Scandinavia, “The Haplogroup I, I1, and I1a lineages are nearly completely restricted to northwestern Europe. These would most likely have been common within Viking populations. One lineage of this group extends down into central Europe” It would be Great!! to get at least 2 from each group.
