Vernon O. Woford
Services for Vernon O. Woford, 78, of Danville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Danville Memorial Gardens.
He died Tuesday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Dec. 28, 1925, in Burgin, he was the son of the late Cornelius O. and Emma L. Prewitt Woford. He was a branch manager for Orkin Co. and a routeman for Butternut Bread, an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and a Methodist. He was a member of Grand Masonic Lodge of Kentucky F&AM and the widower of Patricia Ann Alstott Woford.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Schemel of Lexington; a nephew who was his caregiver, David Logue of Junction City; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry G. Woford.
Pallbearers will be John Schemel, Chris Logue, Jerry Leber, David Logue, Karen Logue and Bob Woford.
Visitation will be after noon Friday at Stith Funeral Home.
Memorials may to Boyle County Humane Society.
