I show John Alston b. 1673, Filmersham, Bedfordshire, England, baptised 12-5-1763
same place; d. Chowan Co., NC 1758: He came to the U.S. with Gov. Archdale in 1695;
Appointed Justice of the General Court of Oyer and Termines at Edenton, NC on
10-27-1724. His earliest land grant was 270 acres on the NW side of Bennett's Creek in
1711, then Chowan, later I believe Gates Co. He married Mary Clarke b. 1676 (dau. of John
Clarke & Mary Palin; grand-dau of John & Sarah Palin). I show the children of John &
