Greenwood, March 18- THOMAS LYNCH ALSTON, 70, died at his home here this afternoon after a long illness from heart trouble. Funeral services will be held and interment will be in the Magnolia cemetery. MR. ALSTON was a native of Charleston, the s/o Col. JOHN ASHE ALSTON and FANNIE FRASER ALSTON and was the last member of his immediate family. He was an erecting engineer for many years having served in this capacity and later was superintendent of the Rose Mining Phosphate company, Charleston. He was owner of the Anderson foundry and mechine shop for 15 years and moved here 21 years ago. He is survived by his widow, who was MISS HELEN SANDERS; one son, WILLIAM ALSTON, Charleston, West Va. and one daughter, MISS HELEN ALSTON of Greenwood.
