Hi-

I am searching for information about the family of Frank Darrenzard Alston, an African-American originally from Chatham Co, NC. I don't have a date of birth (it would be late 1800s). I do know that he attended A&T University in Greensboro, NC; lived briefly in Durham, NC; and then moved to Charlotte, NC where he was an Episcopal minister. He had one son (Frank D. Alston II), followed by three grandsons (Frank D. Alston III, William Alston, and John Charles Alston). I am one of five great-grandchildren.

Any additional information about him, or regarding his parents, grandparents or siblings would be greatly appreciated. I believe there are connections to the Bearden and Winslow families, also of Charlotte.
