I live in Australia, though I was born in Preston, England. I don't know if this helps you. My Grandparents, Harris and Eileen Alston live in Chorley, England, and were also tracing the Alston family tree. I will check with them for any information on American Alstons, and notify you if they have any information. Did you know that the name apparently comes from the village of Alston in the Northwest of England?
