Whit Alston or Brack Alston-Littleton, NC

I am looking for any information for Whit Alston born Mar. 29, 1885 in North Carolina. I'm told there are Alston's all over Littleton, NC, but it may be anywhere in that area.
He died in Feb. 1963 in and around the Norfolk, Virginia area, in which I am from. Unfortunately, I do not know at this moment who Whit's wife was.

Whit Alston would be my great,great grandfather. He had a son named Brack Alston born Nov. 29, 1914 in NC. Brack is my great grandfather and he later died in Nov. 1975.

Brack later married Bertha Cherry,(daughter of Noah Cherry) also born in NC. They had three children: Shirley(my grandmother), Brack Jr., & Lois, all born in Norfolk, Virginia

Any information will be very helpful.
